The ASCE SEI Chapter has as the following event for June 24:

Interpretation of Geotechnical Investigations for Implementation into Project Design

UNO Kirschman Hall, Room KH129

This seminar will explain the different tests, observations and analysis results presented in typical geotechnical investigations reports for various types of projects. Cone Penetrometer Test (CPT), Pile Dynamic Analyzer (PDA) and similar test observations and results will be explained. The assumptions and the limitations of the recommendations will be explained for understanding and usage by a Structural Engineer.

The seminar will be presented by William Gwyn, a well known local Geotechnical Engineer, who has 30+ years of Geotechnical Engineering experience around the Metropolitan New Orleans area and across Louisiana and the rest of the Gulf Coast.
