ASCE New Orleans Branch Members & Subscribers: Seasons Greetings! I hope you all had (or are still having) a joyous Holiday season with family and friends. Our first event of the year will be next Wednesday, January 6th, at 6:30pm at the Column's Hotel. January 6th is known to many of us as Twelfth night, and is celebrated throughout the world, sometimes being called Three Kings Day, to symbolize the day when the kings arrived in Bethlehem. In New Orleans, it's the official kick-off to Mardi Gras season! Come out to the Column's Hotel on St. Charles (between General Taylor and Peniston) for King Cake and stick around as the Phunny Phortly Phellows will be passing by on the Streetcar, the first 'parade' of the season! See you all there! And, if this is your first Mardi Gras, and need recommendations on which parades and krewes to check out, where to go to watch, what a krewe is, etc., we'll be willing to share our tips with you. :)
