This email is a reminder for some upcoming events for engineer's week, February 14-20, 2010, and in later on in March. LES will be hosting LTC Mark Jernigan of the USACE New Orleans District. Seating is limited and time to RSVP ends on Monday: Feb 18, 2010: LES Engineer's Week Banquet: LTC Mark Jernigan USACE at the UNO Alumni Center The ASCE New Orleans Branch will host a community outreach initiative in honor of engineer's week. Please join us next Saturday and give back to the community. Feb 20, 2010: ASCE Engineer's Week Outreach: Landscaping at the City Park Kid's Playground (near the Peristyle) The ASCE Structural Engineering Institute New Orleans Chapter will tentatively hold a design seminar on Timber Design. More details will be provided as they are developed. What here to see the event details once they are developed: Mar 4, 2010: ASCE SEI New Orleans Chapter: Seminar on Timber Design (Tentative) The University of New Orleans ASCE Student Chapter will be hosting the Deep South Regional Conference this year in New Orleans. Come out and watch engineering students from across Louisiana, Mississippi and Arkansas complete in concrete canoe, steel bridge and other engineering competitions.
