ASCE New Orleans Branch Younger Members:
Hello Younger Members
A couple of weeks ago I sent out an email about the EWB Volleyball Tournement this coming Saturday June 4th. So far only one person has responded, and the last time I checked two people do not constitute a volleyball team.
So!
On Saturday June 4th Engineers Without Borders is having an Outdoor Volleyball Tournament at New Orleans City Park from 11am to 4pm. We like to put a team and or teams together sponsored by ASCE NO YM. We need about 10 people per team.
If you are interested in being on Team ASCE YM please contact Daniel Bobeck at dbobeck@lhjunius.com with your contact information.
If your company is interested in sponsoring a team, I have attached the registration form to this email.
I am hopefully getting some crawfish and beer for participants and will let you know when I am sure.
Please come out and support EWB NO as they try to raise money for a Nicaraguan community that lacks running water and proper sanitation.
I would also like to use this as an opportunity for the UNO ASCE Student Chapter to come out and meet the YM Group. If we can make contacts with the students before they begin their regional and national concrete canoe and steel bridge projects we may be able to provide some much needed support for the only engineering program in the city.
So if you are at all intersted in seeing the future of the engineering program at UNO thrive, people in Nicaragua getting drinking water and sanitation or just getting seriously full on crawfish and beer, come out on Saturday the 4th.
Also, I am sure we all need the exercise, so come on!
P.S. Team ASCE YM is not set in stone!
P.S.S. As an added incentive, the first person to respond will get naming rights for the team. If no one responds I am naming the team "The Civil Engineers Pink Unicorn Delight"!
