2012 marks the 50th anniversary of the New Orleans Branch. Planning for the year- long celebration is underway. We will review past achievements and recognize individuals responsible for them. Our celebration will build throughout the year and culminate with a banquet in late summer. As we finalize our plans to celebrate this achievement, more information will be posted on our website (www.asceneworleans.org) and communicated to the membership by email.
We have set up a special email address,

, to collect input from all ASCE members. Please send us your civil engineering memories of the past 50 years. Pictures and videos are welcome and encouraged. These memories will be used in various ways throughout the celebration.
Congratulations and sincere appreciation to all ASCE members for your continued support and participation as we celebrate our Golden jubilee. |

Are you feeling the pinch of the recession, or are you fearing that you soon will? ASCE has created a new one-stop resource of what the Society has to offer members that can help you continue to succeed and to move forward in your professional and personal life. Or, do you want to read the latest reviews, reports and analysis on ASCE's External Review Panel and their findings regarding Hurricane Katrina and New Orleans' Hurricane Protection System? Following a 13-month investigation, the ASCE Committee on Professional Conduct has concluded its inquiry into allegations of ethical misconduct stemming from ASCE's role in an assessment of the performance of the New Orleans Hurricane Protection System following Hurricane Katrina and dismissed all charges of ethical misconduct, although the committee did find that a news release issued by the Society contained two technical errors. Click here, or see the ASCE National link on the left menu, to read about ASCE national and the many programs it offers to ASCE members and to the community at-large. |
