The American Society of Civil Engineers was founded in 1852 and is dedicated to advancing the professional knowledge and improving the practice of civil engineering. The New Orleans Branch was later founded in 1962 and serves more than 770 members in Southeast Louisiana. Our branch regularly provides engineers with Professional Development Hours via regular branch luncheon meetings, evening seminars and by co-hotsing the Louisiana Civil Engineering Conference & Show with ACI each fall in Kenner, Louisiana. As a secondary function, the branch supports several local outreach programs to encourage students to participate in the math and science activities and promote civil engineering to the general public. For more information, see About ASCE New Orleans. |
